Kylian Mbappe has submitted an official report on PSG to UEFA and the LFP, claiming he is owed €55M in unpaid wages and bonuses.
If PSG are found guilty, they could face expulsion from the Champions League
Kylian Mbappé is pursuing legal action to recover unpaid funds from PSG, according to reports from Le Monde. The Real Madrid player, seeking nearly €55 million from his former club, has escalated the issue to the legal committee of the French Professional Football League and has also involved UEFA through the French Football Federation.
Having recently transferred from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to Real Madrid after a seven-year tenure, Mbappé has smoothly transitioned to his new team. His impressive performance, including a crucial goal in Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Atalanta Bergamo in the European Supercup final on August 14, underscores his successful start in Madrid’s colors.
Despite his departure from PSG two months ago, Mbappé remains embroiled in a financial dispute with the club and its primary shareholder, Qatar Sports Investments. It has been disclosed that Mbappé has yet to receive €55 million owed to him as stipulated in his PSG contract.
This sum comprises the final installment of a signing bonus (€36 million gross) due in February, along with wages for the last three months of his contract (April, May, June) and an “ethical bonus” for these months. In mid-June, Mbappé’s legal representatives issued a formal notice to PSG, as reported by L’Equipe.
