Iacovone Stadium: Modernization Works Moving Forward at Full Speed
The modernization of the Erasmo Iacovone Stadium in Taranto is progressing rapidly, with several key milestones already achieved in recent weeks. The project, which has an estimated cost of around €50 million, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
Roofing and Structural Progress
One of the most important advancements has been the completion of the openings for the future roofing on the Curva Nord and the Grandstand, following the same work previously carried out on the Curva Sud. This marks a crucial step in preparing the stadium for the installation of its modern roof, which is currently being constructed offsite and is expected to be installed between November 2025 and January 2026.
First Tier and New Seating
Meanwhile, construction is underway on the foundations of the first tier, which will host approximately 13,000 spectators. Once this stage is finalized, the assembly of the new lower sector stands is scheduled to begin between late September and early November 2025.
