The number of sports stadiums in the world is vast and difficult to determine precisely, but it is estimated that there are at least 50,000 to 70,000 sports stadiums of various sizes around the globe. This figure includes large stadiums used for sports such as Football, American football, cricket and baseball, as well as smaller stadiums for local and amateur sports. But which countries have the most stadiums? Some countries have an extraordinary number of stadiums, reflecting their passion and huge investments in sports. Below are the 10 countries with the most stadiums in the world:

10. Japan – Number of stadiums: Around 900

The Japanese have a particular love for baseball and football, and stadiums like the Tokyo Dome and the Sapporo Dome are among the most famous.


9. Canada – Number of stadiums: Around 1,000
